The rules may be changed any time before the conclusion of the Captain’s Meeting.
The Captain’s Meeting will be held at Anna Maria Oyster Bar City Pier, Bradenton Beach, June 27 2019 at 6:30pm. At
least one representative from each team/boat is required to attend. If a Team does not have a representative at the
Captain’s Meeting their entry fee will be forfeited and Team is not allowed to participate in the Tournament.
Each vessel will elect a Team Captain. The Team Captain is responsible for the safe operation of the vessel and safety
of their crew including the decision to operate the vessel during existing weather conditions on the day of the
tournament. The Captain is responsible for the actions of their crew while on and off the water, during the Captains
Meeting and on tournament day. The Captain will determine the maximum amount of persons and weight (Vessel
Capacity sticker if equipped) for safe operation of the vessel. All USCG, State, County, City regulations must be
followed. Teams are encouraged to monitor Channel 16 VHF and weather forecast before and during the tournament.
All boats/teams must be paid and registered prior to June 28 2019. No refund of entry fees unless the tournament
committee cancels the tournament. The entire team (all of the anglers fishing the tournament for the team including
youth and ladies) must be declared on the registration form. Each Team is allowed up to 7 anglers including the Team
Tournament fishing starts at 6 am June 29 2019 with no lines allowed in water until this time.
All fish must be caught with hook and line using hand held rods and reels. No electric reels are allowed.
A boat assisting/rendering aid to another boat during an emergency such as medical assistance, fire, sinking will not be
disqualified for making physical contact with another boat. If two or more boats make physical contact during the hours
of the tournament, between the 6 am start and 5 pm cutoff for weigh in, both will be disqualified.
Fish to be weighed must be in the weigh in line by 5:00 pm on June 29. Fish may be brought to the weigh in by boat or
vehicle and must be in the weigh in line by 5:00 pm June 29. NO EXCEPTIONS. Scales open at 2:00 pm on June 29
Every fish must be accompanied with Team Number weigh in slip. Tournament officials will be at drop off dock and
street gates to verify time and call last in weigh-in line.
No rotten or mutilated fish will be weighed in. All unwanted fish may be donated. All fish need to be properly iced and
Any fish weighed-in containing lead or any foreign matter will be subject to disqualification as determined by the
tournament director/scale master. All weights determined by the tournament scales at time of weigh in will be
considered the final weight.
Any protest must be accompanied by $500 and presented to a Tournament Director not more than 15 minutes after the
last fish has been weighed. This money will be refunded if the Tournament Directors determine the Fish or Team will be
A youth angler eligible for the Youth Angler Awards must be 14 years or younger on the tournament date. They must
catch and reel the fish to point of gaff. One fish can be weighed in this division per boat/team.
A female eligible for the Lady Angler Awards must be 15 years or older. She must catch and reel the fish to point of gaff.
For each species only one fish can be weighed in this division per boat/team.
For each species only one fish per team can be weighed in the Top Weight Category.
For each species only one fish per team can be weighed in the Closest To Weight Category.
For each species only one fish per team can be weighed in the Bonus Fish Category

The weight for each species in the “Closest To” weight category will be announced during the Captains Meeting June 27
Tournament Directors have the right to board any boat and view any marine, fishing equipment.
In the event of a tie, the boat/team that weighs their fish first breaks the tie.
Winning fish in each category become the property of the tournament.
ALL TOURNAMENT WINNERS MUST BE PRESENT AT AWARDS CEREMONY TO RECEIVE WINNINGS CHECK.
Anyone receiving a check or prize from this Tournament must complete a W9(1099) before check will be written. A
Photo ID is required to validate W9 information.
MINIMUM OF ONE TEAM MEMBER AUTHORIZED TO FILL OUT PAPERWORK AND RECEIVE CHECK MUST BE
PRESENT OTHERWISE THE WINNINGS WILL BE FORFEITED TO FLORIDA WEST COAST BOTTOM BRAWL
All decisions of the Tournament Directors and Scale Master are final.
