SEAWALL TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

**Open to kids 16 & Younger

 

Check In- Begins at 8:30am at the Angler Armory Trailer

Heat 1 – 10am to 10:45am

Heat 2 – 11am to 11:45am

Tournament Awards – 12:30pm

All participants will need to check in at the Angler Armory trailer prior to fishing

1st thru 3rd Place Trophy for each age group for each heat.
Age Groups:
6 and Under
7 to 11
12 to 16

A child can only win once. If they win a trophy in Heat 1 then they cannot win again in Heat 2. This gives more children the chance to win. However, there will be an “Master Angler” trophy for each Heat for the child that catches the most fish throughout both heats combined. (One Trophy per heat for Master Angler)

 

POINTS SYSTEM
Different categories of fish will be assigned a certain # of points. Points will then be totaled at the end of each heat to determine the winners.

 

FAQ’s
1) Can we still participate if we didn’t pre-register for the seawall tournament?
Absolutely! You can register on-site at the Angler Armory trailer the morning of the event

2) Can we still fish if we arrive later than 10am?
Yes. We will have staff at the Angler Armory trailer to check you in up until 11:15am

3) Can I fish both heats?
Yes, you can fish Heat 1, Heat 2 or both

4) Is there an entry fee to participate?
There is no entry fee but we ask all participants to donate a toy & a non-perishable food item that will be given to those in need and distributed by Santa’s Angels and the Knights of Columbus

5) What does the tournament provide?
We provide frozen bait and light tackle.

6) What do I need to bring?
Participants need to bring their own fishing poles.

7) Can I bring my own bait?
Yes, you may use your own bait if you wish

8) Are sabiki’s allowed?
No, only single hook allowed

9) Are there different age classes?
Yes, there are 3 age categories. All ages can fish in both heats. There will be trophies for 1st thru 3rd Place for both heats

10) Where can we park for the event?
There is limited parking at the Rec Complex and parking will also be available at Winn Dixie

11) How do I get into the raffle?
Every child that attends the event will receive 1 free raffle ticket.

12) My 17 year old would like to come out and fish. Is that ok?
The tournament is open to kids 16 & younger, however older children are more than welcome to come
fish with us, they just won’t be eligible to receive an award.
